Fantastic, lovely handle feel and carves really nicely. Does have a convex grind, which I'm not certain how to best sharpen (not that it needs it yet, it comes carving sharp straight out of the box).

Simple knife that does what it is supposed to do as a chip carving knife. Sharp edge out of the box. Like all knife blades, it has to be kept sharp by occasional use of a smooth stone and stropping often.

This is an affordable knife for a beginner or advanced wood carver. It holds it's edge well. Fits in your hand comfortable and does nice detail work. One of my go to knives when I'm carving. You really don't have to spend a fortune on knives, this is a really nice one. I would recommend and I would buy it again.

I took up whittling/carving (pandemic hobbies right?) and while i am a generally pretty crafty person, I'm new to carving. After playing around and carving with other non-carving dedicated knives, I decided to get this knife, and it makes a difference! The sharp end is great for details, and the belly is great for taking off big chunks.

Carvers generally have a favorite knife. This one is ok but some may find it uncomfortable at first because of the more rectangular handle.
From a carving stand point it seems to handle wood just fine. I have only had it a few days. Came fully sharpened and ready to cut wood. Initial cutting is very good. Will need time to really get a feel for the knife.
