I'm new to carving and this is my first knife purchase. It did benefit from some stropping after I got it and it cuts well. It seems to hold an edge for a while. The handle is very comfortable. I can carve for two hours and not feel any discomfort. That's pretty good at my age!

We got this knife for our son who has taken up carving for fun. This was his starter knife and the main one he has still been using. The price was great, it’s easy to hold, and has stayed very sharp. Highly recommend this knife!

This is an affordable knife for a beginner or advanced wood carver. It holds it's edge well. Fits in your hand comfortable and does nice detail work. One of my go to knives when I'm carving. You really don't have to spend a fortune on knives, this is a really nice one. I would recommend and I would buy it again.

This is nice medium sized carving knife that comes sharp and ready to use. It sharpens easily too, though stays sharp well enough.

Very sharp...good quality. When you purchase this you must also purchase a sharpening stone (I use an extra fine diamond stone). As long as you keep it sharp it will do what you want.

It is made in the Ukraine, not China. That is positive number one. I can tell this is a quality made product. It feels good in the hand, and out of the box it is sharp. For me, it could have been much sharper though. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. Don't get me wrong, it is sharp and cuts through wood very well, but it is not RAZOR sharp. I will update after I have used it more.

Wow!!! This knife is awesome. Sharp out of the box. I did do a little leather strap honing, more out of habit, and then right to walnut and Purple Heart I went. Well worth the money.

This knife is very sharp, fits in the hand like an extension of the fingers, and just what I wanted as a beginning spoon carver! I will buy again from this seller! Wonderfully easy transaction and arrived as promised.

Just an absolutely fantastic product. I don't have enough good things to say about this knife. The handle is a perfect size, and the blade is razor sharp (you can literally shave with it). After using it for a month, the blade is still extremely sharp. Even though it has a few tiny knicks in it here and there, it still cuts through woods like their nothing. My favorite thing about this knife is that it can be used effectively for long, broad strokes by using the entire length of the blade, but it can also be used effectively for making small, detailed cuts using the end of the blade. All around, this knife was well worth the money and I would highly recommend it to both beginners and experts.
